OKAY so if you have the audacity to come this far, it is not a surprise to either of us that you are willing to take this little Q and A. If I felt comfortable enough to ask you to, then we have probably spent a fair amount of time discussing sex over the years and so this is not all that new. Or if you were sent here by a friend, or stumbled upon us via one of our links to various search engines and sites, welcome.
Perhaps you will be a bit shocked by the explicitness of the questions and you are obviously, not obligated to answer all of them, although most questions have been answered by most respondents. If over half the respondents to any one question are uncomfortable answering that particular question I will drop it and include it in an appendix at the end.
For backgrounds on the beginnings, the purpose, and the future uses of this survey please check out APPENDIX I at the end of the survey.
Have fun with it and please be honest. There are no right and wrong answers. We are all wonderfully complex sexual creatures and our differences and similarities are a fascinating way to glimpse into our own sexuality and human interactions.
And yes, I am VERY interested in any questions you would like to see included in updates of the survey and well as any suggestions or comments about the whole shebang.

So I think sexual relations are really any sexual acts involving genitals in one form or another. (Don’t tell Bill Clinton). But generally, and oddly, if lesbians have sex without penetration (i.e. without toys, they call it “having sex”) but men with men or men with women basically seem to count non-oral penetration as “sexual relations” but not oral. Who makes up thes rules. My take is, if it’s sexy and fun, then you’re having sex. So maybe “sexual relations” means having sex with relatives…no that’s “incestual” relations as opposed to having sex with bugs which is “insectual” relations or having unconsummated sex with yourself which is “ineffectual relations”…stop me please…ok so if you count oral and mutual handjobs and such as sex then your totals will be WAY higher, so maybe we should just say…please be specific. hahaha

APPENDIX I: BACKGROUND AND STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Some background…I decided to embark on this Q and A after having decided to document a decidedly different, PG-rated Family Questionnaire in an effort to learn more about my parents as they are growing older. In 2006, long before I dove into all the fun online quizzes on Facebook and other networking sites, I was about to take a very long car trip with my father and I thought it would be a great opportunity to hear him talk of his childhood and life. I had previously audio and videotaped my maternal grandma, a wonderful and dramatic storyteller in the ten years before she died and my paternal grandma had written a history of her family’s background as early farmers in the state of Washington. After working up about 100 Qs for my father on everything from favorite vegetables, definition of happiness, names of all the pets in his life etc. etc. I went with my mother to see the movie KINSEY. She told me how earthshaking Kinsey’s research was when it came out and how all of her friends were buzzing talking openly and candidly about sexuality for the first time in their lives using the Kinsey Report as a launching pad for their new found openness with one another. A light bulb went off…
I am blessed to be someone who is pretty open about all aspects of my life and being quite sexually and sensually oriented, I figured it might be fun to work up a Q&A of my own focusing on personal sexual histories. I read many online and published sexual questionnaires and quizzes as well as continuing my long fascination with psychological, spiritual and sociological writing pertaining to sexuality. Through years of open-minded discussions and explorations with my sexually oriented friends, partners, lovers and acquaintances, I pulled together 100 questions that covered some of my own special interests. In the first few respondents I found an amazing generosity, interest and enthusiasm as well as numerous questions of their own that they thought would be interesting to ask others. At present, with over 250 questions and growing, I thank all respondents for their open-hearted honesty and candor as well as their always uniquely individual responses.
The initial purpose has been to satiate my own voyeuristic tendencies as well as a general predilectation towards lists and documentation. I have always been a nosy sort, LOL, as well as someone who has been dubbed “The King of Self-Disclosure”. Loquacious, open, yammering…that be me.
But now, having shared this experience with a growing group of respondents, I have found that almost to a fault, each of them has claimed to have really enjoyed the experience and had not only felt comfortable discussing things they don’t necessarily bring up in general conversation, but also exploring some things in themselves that they had either forgotten, been unable to voice previously or saw for the first time in a new light.
I will promise that if I ever collate answers to these questions for publication, and as of now, I have no such plans other than eventually posting an overview of general results with non-name specifi examples questions on this anonymous sex blog for others to respond to, and that your anonymity will remain secure. In all instances unless specified by the respondent, I will change all respondents names and never expose names or identifying characteristics/locations of those in your stories without your permission.
As of mid-July 2009, the questions are basically geared more heavily towards heterosexual and bi lifestyle only and I am expanding soon with some questions suggested by gay respondents; respondents who work in the sex industry and some couples who swing, or are in the polyamorous lifestyles. We may also expand this or create a companion profile more geared to the fetish and BDSM community but in the meantime, we'll refer you to FetLife.com where you can find buckets on info and people who play in occasionally or full-time in that lifestyle. Basically, anyone interested and comfortable talking about sexuality in an honest and open way with guaranteed anonymity ia welcome. We plan to occasionally update, fine tune and add new questions and request that if you decided to take the Q&A that you may be asked to respond to a handful of addition questions on occasion at some later point at your disretion, of course.
I have recently asked the first non-acquaintance and I will be interested in expanding the Q and A respondents to greater reflect a more diverse demographic. If I felt comfortable enough to ask you to, then we have probably spent a fair amount of time discussing sex over the years and so this is not all that new. APPENDIX I: BACKGROUND AND STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Some background…I decided to embark on this Q and A after having decided to document a decidedly different, PG-rated Family Questionnaire in an effort to learn more about my parents as they are growing older. In 2006, long before I dove into all the fun online quizzes on Facebook and other networking sites, I was about to take a very long car trip with my father and I thought it would be a great opportunity to hear him talk of his childhood and life. I had previously audio and videotaped my maternal grandma, a wonderful and dramatic storyteller in the ten years before she died and my paternal grandma had written a history of her family’s background as early farmers in the state of Washington. After working up about 100 Qs for my father on everything from favorite vegetables, definition of happiness, names of all the pets in his life etc. etc. I went with my mother to see the movie KINSEY. She told me how earthshaking Kinsey’s research was when it came out and how all of her friends were buzzing talking openly and candidly about sexuality for the first time in their lives using the Kinsey Report as a launching pad for their new found openness with one another. A light bulb went off…
I am blessed to be someone who is pretty open about all aspects of my life and being quite sexually and sensually oriented, I figured it might be fun to work up a Q&A of my own focusing on personal sexual histories. I read many online and published sexual questionnaires and quizzes as well as continuing my long fascination with psychological, spiritual and sociological writing pertaining to sexuality. Through years of open-minded discussions and explorations with my sexually oriented friends, partners, lovers and acquaintances, I pulled together 100 questions that covered some of my own special interests. In the first few respondents I found an amazing generosity, interest and enthusiasm as well as numerous questions of their own that they thought would be interesting to ask others. At present, with over 250 questions and growing, I thank all respondents for their open-hearted honesty and candor as well as their always uniquely individual responses.
The initial purpose has been to satiate my own voyeuristic tendencies as well as a general predilectation towards lists and documentation. I have always been a nosy sort, LOL, as well as someone who has been dubbed “The King of Self-Disclosure”. Loquacious, open, yammering…that be me.

In all instances unless specified by the respondent, I will change all respondents names and never expose names or identifying characteristics/locations of those in your stories without your permission.
As of mid-July 2009, the questions are basically geared more heavily towards heterosexual and bi lifestyle only and I am expanding soon with some questions suggested by gay respondents; respondents who work in the sex industry and some couples who swing, or are in the polyamorous lifestyles. We may also expand this or create a companion profile more geared to the fetish and BDSM community but in the meantime, we'll refer you to FetLife.com where you can find buckets on info and people who play in occasionally or full-time in that lifestyle. Basically, anyone interested and comfortable talking about sexuality in an honest and open way with guaranteed anonymity ia welcome. If you have any friends you might think would be interested in taking this, Send them here. We plan to occasionally update, fine tune and add new questions and request that if you decided to take the Q&A that you may be asked to respond to a handful of addition questions on occasion at some later point at your disretion, of course.
I have recently asked the first non-acquaintance and I will be interested in expanding the Q and A respondents to greater reflect a more diverse demographic. If you have a friend who is very open, willing and interested in responding please let me know with their email and affiliation to you and a brief description of why you think they would be good candidates for inclusion.
I will make available anonymous answers to all respondents on request, once you have sent your own answers in so as not to influence your answers. If you would not like your answers included in any publication or distribution to other respondents please let me know. But always know that your anonymity is as safe as I can possibly make it. If any of your answers include info that may identify you to another possible respondent (some of you within my circle may know each other), you may indeed ask that specific answers be listed as “answer deleted by respondent” but please answer for statistical collation. I will most likely publish a synopsis of answers i.e. an overview of statistics laced with random examples of answers as illustration as opposed to publishing anyone’s complete questionnaire unedited.
